Finding the right yoga studio in Manchester can be as tricky as getting into warrior three.
But don’t worry – we’ve tried and tested them to bring you our personal recommendations. Whether you’re looking to reset after a busy day or finally perfect that headstand, these are our favourite spots to stretch out in the city.
Yoga Soul

With calming chimes and strong wafts of incense, the basement studio of Yoga Soul is a world away from the bustling brunch spot upstairs. Leave your shoes (and socks if you want) in the cubby holes and claim your space on one of the pre-laid mats. Blocks and bolsters are available at the back of the studio.
If you’ve booked onto one of the popular Hot Yoga classes, expect temperatures in the room to soar – it’s sweaty, but it really deepens the stretch! Alternatively, if you’re looking for yoga for beginners in Manchester, you’ll love the Foundations class (I certainly did). Classes get busy, so pop in at lunchtime or in the morning for a quieter practice.
Where? Yoga Soul, 49a Newton Street, Manchester, M1 1FT.
How much? £15 for one yoga class or 5 classes for £60.

RESET
Prefer to practice somewhere more private? With just 12 places per class, RESET at bloc offers a more intimate yoga experience. You’ll find the studio hidden downstairs in a modern co-working space, passing a small forest of green plants and a post-workout coffee spot on your way to zen.
The studio is laid out with the instructor in the middle and six mats either side, making it really easy to follow the class. Despite the smaller studio size and the more stripped back class offering, RESET are masters of the yoga trade and you can really feel it. I’m a big fan of their Vinyasa Flow, but the Yin/Yang yoga will really stretch you out too!
Where? RESET, bloc, 17 Marble Street, Manchester, M2 3AW.
How much? £15 for one class.
