No one does early morning speciality coffee like Factory. Served straight from the hatch in the first few hours of the day, these brilliantly brewed beans are great for on-the-go mornings and early starts. From Monday to Friday, you can get your caffeine fix from as early as 6:30am.

There’s less than a dozen coffees on the menu, but the quality of brew at Factory Coffee gives bigger places a run for their money. Especially when you can team up your coffee with one of their signature bakes like salted caramel banana loaf, chocolate babka and oozing doughnuts. Did we mention the matcha latte is one of the best in town?

The historic cotton mill has been transformed into a laidback space, with exposed brick, industrial-style columns and macrame plant hangers in the window to soften it all up.

Their passion is batch brew coffee – humble, yet effective, You can order one for £2.95, top it up for £1.50 or go bottomless for just £5.25. There’s also flat whites, cappuccinos and mochas, but nothing too fussy. Pair it with a slice of their ever-popular banana bread, grab a seat, and settle in for the afternoon.

The coffee shop definition of small and mighty, what Just Between Friends lacks in store size, they make up for in their drinks. Their flat white is one of the best in Manchester, while their cappuccinos and cold brews are equally as impressive.

With just a few tables to perch on, it’s better to grab and go. But the friendly baristas are quick at turning drinks around, so you’ll only have to wait a few minutes – which you can use to gaze at all the sausage dogs waiting with their owners! Feeling peckish?
