There’s always something new popping up in Manchester and 2025 is no exception!
Manchester saw a slew of new openings descend on the city in 2024 – and things don’t seem set to slow down anytime soon. Over the next 12 months, there’s an exciting array of new spots to eat, drink, shop and play. Here’s our lowdown on all the places that will be opening their doors in 2025.
Soho House

The Manchester outpost of exclusive members’ club Soho House has been a long time in the making, as its original 2022 opening date has been pushed back multiple times. The swanky five-floor venue will bring a 23-bedroom hotel, gym, restaurant, events space and more to the former Granada Studios, as well as that all-important rooftop pool.
Soho House Manchester is opening on Quay Street in spring 2025.
Royal Nawaab Pyramid

There are few Manchester landmarks as famous as the Stockport Pyramid, and the iconic building has an exciting future. The former Co-operative Bank building is set to be transformed into a huge Indian restaurant, as Royal Nawaab confirmed plans to open a lavish dining hall, complete with banqueting suites and enough room to fit 1,500 diners.
Royal Nawaab will be opening in The Valley of the Kings in summer 2025.
Chotto Matte

Specialising in Nikkei cuisine – that’s Japanese-Peruvian fusion – stylish Chotto Matte will sit atop Gary Neville’s St Michael’s development. With a decor incorporating features like robata grills, lava stone and lush greenery, it’s definitely going to look the part. It’s set to become the biggest restaurant in the city, sprawling across 20,000 square feet.
Chotto Matte is opening at No. 1 St Michael’s in early 2025.
Manchester Airport T2 Renovation
Phase two of Manchester Airport’s £1.3 billion Terminal 2 expansion promises a passenger experience that’s set to rival some of the best airports around the world. You can expect 22 new shops, bars and restaurants, alongside The Great Northern Market – a 472-seat food hall bringing some of the city’s street food heroes to the airport. There’ll even be a ‘Spoons!
Manchester Airport’s Terminal 2 renovation is set to complete in summer 2025.
The Cut & Craft

Following success in Leeds and York, independent steak restaurant The Cut & Craft is opening a Manchester venue. Steak is what they do best, and they serve it every which way, but the flat iron is their signature. Throw in oysters, cocktails and glitzy interiors and you just know it’s going to be a hit.
The Cut & Craft is set to open on the corner of Mosley Street and York Street in spring 2025.
STACK

When much-loved shipping container village Hatch closed its doors, Mancunians wept. Luckily, STACK is set to step in as the new operator, bringing street food vendors, bars and retail units to the site under Mancunian Way. A large stage will host daily entertainment, like live music, quiz nights and dog shows. We can’t wait!
STACK is set to open on the old Hatch site in 2025.
Lina Stores

Italian deli-cum-restaurant Lina Stores is bringing its delicious handmade pasta up north, opening its first venue outside of London. On top of a 150-cover restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, there’ll be an open-plan deli, stocking freshly-made panini and pastries alongside a host of Italian pantry essentials.
Lina Stores is opening on Quay Street in spring 2025.
Mollie’s Motel

Joining Soho House in the old Granada Studios building, Mollie’s Manchester is the Americana-inspired motel chain’s first city-centre venue. On top of 128 rooms and suites, there’ll be a classic diner, cocktail bar and live music venue, state-of-the-art gym and even a contemporary art collection.
Mollie’s Motel is set to open on Quay Street in late 2025.
Treehouse Hotel

International hotel brand Treehouse is bringing its quirky style to Manchester, opening up a 224-room four-star hotel on Blackfriars Street. Expect cosy fabrics, playful patchwork and prints, alongside some exciting food and drink arrivals – two restaurants, a rooftop bar and a top-secret hideaway.
Treehouse Hotel is set to open on Blackfriars Street in early 2025.
HOME Arches

Nestled under three historic railway arches between HOME’s main building and Whitworth Street West, HOME Arches is a £3.5 million project designed to provide local artists with free high-quality studio and training spaces. 5,000 hours of free creative space will be offered out annually, with 50% dedicated to artists from underrepresented groups.
HOME Arches is set to open on Whitworth Street in early 2025.
Social Sports Society

Love padel? You’re in luck – the UK’s fastest-growing sport is getting a huge new home in Manchester. Social Sports Society have had planning permission granted to open a 10-court padel centre in the Victoria North regeneration area, with the 1.3-acre facility also getting four petanque courts, a pair of flexible multi-sport courts and a climbing wall.
The padel centre is set to open in autumn 2025.
